Lakewood, a Discordia Review Interactive Game
"You're either hot or cold, John. You can't be lukewarm for God."
Discordia does not, it turns out, hate everything. Every other week, we share a piece of work from an artist who's earned our respect.
There is art that moves us, and there is art that moves with us. This is Fellow Travellers. This week, we’re proud to present our first video game, courtesy of Discordia Review’s staff Psychonaut David McGorlick. Lakewood is a short (~15 minute), fully voice-acted and animated point and click adventure game with the grisly Discordite sensibility you’ve come to know and tolerate. Download a single file from our itch.io (54MB) and run on desktop for best results.
In the hustle and bustle of modern life, can young author John Parker find time to reflect on God’s word?
Originally published in 1993 by Geisterkiste Entertainment and funded by the Toronto Mustard Seed Fellowship, Lakewood is now available on PC CD-ROM!
Parents are advised to experience the adventure first before deciding whether Lakewood’s teachings are appropriate for your child.
