I'm really grateful for you taking the time to cite sources for many things that I wasn't aware. The Hannibal Directive, for example, is utterly chilling. I have always felt caught in the middle in these debates because there are well-informed supporters of the Israeli campaign that have their own sources which can paint an equally compelling narrative, however accurate it might or might not be. For my part at this time, it's enough to simply know that there is no high ground here anywhere, and not to get on a bus just because someone I know might yell very loud at me if I don't. The only place in which I think you might have offered a little more finesse is 'You can read these reports on “antisemitism” yourself and find that the majority of what they’re calling “hate crimes” are literally just saying “Israel is bad and I don’t like it.”' Sorry, I read them, and it's more complicated than that. Your point that saying "Israel is bad and I don't like it" by itself is not antisemitism is well-taken, and I am aware that anti-semitism has the potential to be used solely to control the narrative, which I abhor. But minimizing the danger here, going the other direction and rolling the eyes at the quote rising antisemitism unquote doesn't really reflect the reality of the source you yourself quoted, and it doesn't add credibility to what I think is otherwise a very necessary and helpful piece.
